Video + Description

The SKS36/SKM36 Encoder marks the inception of a new era in optical motor feedback systems. Offering 128 sine/cosine signals per revolution, this series sets the standard for MFB systems with the HIPERFACE® interface. A standout feature of this new generation is its ultra-compact 2 mm code track radius, enabling comprehensive scanning. This design compensates for eccentricity errors inherent in conventional systems, arising from code disk, ball bearing, and shaft misalignments. The placement of the code disk at the center of the rotary axis eliminates limitations on high angular speeds previously imposed by traditional systems.

The product family offers absolute position indication with 4,096 increments per revolution and a maximum of 4,096 revolutions. Key features include storing motor-specific data in the electronic type label and programmability. These motor feedback systems, certified to SIL2/PL d, comply with contemporary safety technology standards, streamlining the certification process.
